Anna Silk

Anna Silk is Canadian actress and has gained fame in Canada by her character in the film Bo. Silk is an actress from Canada born in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Ilkay Silk was the child of Peter, an academic and Peter Silk, who was known as an accomplished actor as well as a producer, director, playwright, educator, and director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna is able to recall the first moments in her childhood, like attending rehearsals and watching of plays. Silk was featured in many commercials while she was a young child. She received a Bachelor's of Arts in 1997 from St. Thomas University in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas produced two early shows: Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk moved to Toronto Canada in the month of November of 1999, to keep acting. She then relocated to Los Angeles California during the following decade. Seth Cooperman was her future partner when she met him in 2007 at an Actors' Workshop at the Actors' Workshop in Los Angeles. In 2009, the couple were wed in civil ceremonies in the month of December. They renewed their vows on on April 10, 2011 in Fredericton with the tradition of a Jewish wedding ceremony following Silk's changed her religion to Judaism. Silk gave birth to the son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. The second son of hers, Levi Aaron was born on May 13, 2016. Silk's television work includes the role of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica in which she was awarded an Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. In 2009 she landed the main character role of Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian television series Lost Girl. Silk was pregnant during filming the final episode of the third series. Silk announced her pregnancy to the fans in her Showcase Season Three pre-show special on the 6th of January, 2013. Silk was doing work on the show since the final season episode was first conceived on January 6, 2013. She announced via Twitter her readiness to return on the 4th of June 2013 when Showcase and Prodigy Pictures began production on the fourth. The character she played Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as same-sex lovers on Lost Girl was named one of its all-time Favorite Television Couples from CNN (Cable News Network) and named the Top TV Couple of 2013. The same was done by E! Entertainment Television. Due to Silk's popularity Silk has gained a large online following on social media.
