Michele Carey, the daughter of Stanley Willard Henson, Jr who was a physician and Thelma Henson, the housewife, was born Michele Lee Henson on February 26th, 1942, at Annapolis, Maryland, United States of America. She was a piano prodigy when she was a teen and was the winner of the national competition at Chicago Music Festival at just thirteen years old. Fort Collins High School, in which she got her high-school training in 1960 and was where her family moved to. To pursue her career she moved from Colorado to Los Angeles. It was her performance in El Dorado 1966 as the principal character Josephine Joey MacDonald who brought the spotlight on her.
