Michele Carey, the daughter of Stanley Willard Henson, Jr who was a physician and Thelma Henson, the housewife, was born Michele Lee Henson on February 26th, 1942, at Annapolis, Maryland, United States of America. She was a piano prodigy when she was a teen and was the winner of the national competition at Chicago Music Festival at just thirteen years old.
